Work stress is no match for Humboldt Apothecary’s Brain Tonic CBD

Kikoko Cannabis Tea
Chelsey McKrill from Kikoko Cannabis Tea likes Brain Tonic CBD for everyday stress management.

Sure, cannabis is being used by millions of people to treat stress — but you can’t exactly spark a joint after that horrendous meeting with human resources, can you? You can however, microdose a CBD-rich tincture of cannabis, and keep on trucking.

Microdosing” involves using just a fraction of the active ingredients in cannabis to achieve therapeutic effects without unwanted side effects. “Cannabidiol” (CBD) is the second-most common active ingredient in cannabis, and it can manage some peoples’ anxiety without causing a mind-altering lift in mood. “Tinctures” are little dropper bottles of cannabis extract.

California producer Humboldt Apothecary‘s Brain Tonic CBD tincture is especially helpful for Chelsey McKrill, chief development sorcoress at California trending infused tea maker Kikoko. In this new episode of GreenState’s podcast, The Hash, Chelsey relates how Humboldt Apothecary’s Brain Tonic CBD has been a game-changer for her.

The tincture has equal parts CBD and THC (called a 1:1 ratio), plus complementary herbs Gotu Kola, Ginkgo, and Rosemary.

“These herbs are exceptional for memory and braind functioning,” McKrill said. Gotu Kola in particular produces serotonin and dopamine in the brain.

McKrill uses Brain Tonic CBD almost daily, she says. “It brings me some extra mental clarity,” she said.

Smoking cannabis can have widely varying effect, she said, while drops from a tincture are relaly easy to use.

The Brain Tonic’s CBD tamps down on any high from the THC, and “It just feels more balanced and helpful for daily use,” she said. “It leaves me feeling really focused and calm and just a little bit goes a long for me, cus I’m a microdoser.”
