One simple trick could save your weed harvest

Cultivating great cannabis doesn’t end at harvest—the plant must be dried and cured before it can be enjoyed. The process is meticulous, and if not done right, could ruin a grower’s hard work in a flash. One new product seeks to remove the guesswork from the cannabis curing process, making it as simple as “set it and forget it.”
ViVi Cure is a small sachet that goes inside an airtight container along with the flower. It slowly draws moisture out and maintains ideal humidity levels to ensure the bud reaches peak smokability.

Most growers cure their weed in mason jars or turkey bags. They must “burp” the container by letting in fresh air to ensure mold does not pop up. However, if too much air gets in, the bud may dry out too fast. This can lead to harsh smoke and bland flavor.

ViVi Cure was created by Boveda, a company known for its two-way humidity control solutions. They have many products for cigars, musical instruments, and cannabis, but the brand’s latest creation is their first specifically targeted toward cultivators.
“Curing is one of the most critical, and often most frustrating, steps for homegrowers,” said Brian Rice, Boveda’s head of product innovation, in a press release sent to GreenState. “We wanted to eliminate the trial and error that can lead to lost potency or diminished flavor. With Vivi Cure, growers can enjoy their harvest at its best without worrying about the process.”

In addition to streamlining the curing process, Vivi Cure promises to get you your tasty bud faster. The typical cure period can last several weeks or even longer. The Boveda team says Vivi Cure will get your flower where it needs to be in 10 days, no burping required.
The company beta-tested the product with several home growers. Many of the testers reported the packs were surprisingly effective and touted the convenience.
As cannabis becomes more widespread, innovation will only continue. Home growers and commercial cultivators alike are seeking convenient ways to ensure their weed is top-shelf, and ViVi Cure may soon be a part of that conversation.
