Minnesota Cannabis Week builds connections as industry takes shape
The Minnesota cannabis market is one to watch. Minnesota’s adult-use cannabis market has been slow to develop, but as the industry takes shape, businesses and organizations are looking for ways to build connections and momentum. Against that backdrop, several businesses and organizations are planning Minnesota Cannabis Week, a series of business-to-business events focused on networking, education, and industry development.

Taking place Aug. 21-27, Minnesota Cannabis Week is anchored by three main events: Elevated Escape, Green Equity, and Minnesota Marketplace. The initiative was developed through a partnership between the Minority Cannabis Business Association (MCBA), Elevate Minnesota, and Hey Mango.
Mike Lomuto, chairman of the MCBA, told GreenState the events are coming together for a common purpose: to help the community thrive for years to come.
“The goal is to create meaningful relationships and practical opportunities that continue long after the event ends,” he said.

Elevated Escape, running Aug. 21-23 in Taylors Falls, Minnesota, is a community camping experience that organizers describe as an inclusive weekend for attendees to relax and connect. Programming includes music, workshops, networking, and, yes— campfires.
The third annual Green Equity conference returns Aug. 24-26 at the NorthPoint Conference Center in Minneapolis. The MCBA’s flagship event brings together entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, and community leaders for networking and industry-focused programming.
Lomuto noted that Green Equity is built around participation, not observation.
“Attendees can expect mentor exchanges, peer mastermind sessions, structured networking labs, interactive roundtables, and direct engagement with the entrepreneurs, regulators, and ecosystem leaders shaping Minnesota’s market and bringing lessons learned from markets across the country,” he said.

After Green Equity concludes on Aug. 26, attendees can make their way to the CannaClub Industry Night at Earl Giles. This networking reception brings the Minnesota cannabis community together to share updates, insights, and good vibes.
Minnesota Cannabis Week culminates with the all-new MN Marketplace, presented by HeyMango, on August 27 at Earl Giles. This highly curated event connects operators with ancillary providers meant to help them succeed in the space. The daylong showcase and networking gathering got its start in the Maryland market, and recently expanded to the Midwest.
Minnesota Cannabis Week concludes with the inaugural MN Marketplace, presented by Hey Mango, on Aug. 27 at Earl Giles. The daylong showcase and networking event connects cannabis operators with ancillary service providers. Hey Mango first launched the event format in Maryland and recently expanded it to the Midwest.
Other Minnesota Cannabis Week partners include Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM), the Indigenous Cannabis Industry Association (ICIA), Minnesota Women’s Cannabis Collective, SotaCann, Minnesota Cannabis College and Frontline Bud Foundation.
Organizers hope the weeklong slate will strengthen connections among entrepreneurs, operators and organizations as Minnesota’s adult-use cannabis industry continues to develop.
