Popular celeb couple gave out weed at their wedding

As weed becomes less taboo, celebrities of all kinds—actors, athletes, etc.—have become open about their consumption habits, and some have become huge advocates for the plant. In the latest of this trend, Dave Franco and Alison Brie told Variety that they handed out weed pens at their 2017 wedding.

“We wanted people to let loose and go crazy, much more than they did,” said Franco.
According to the pair, the ceremony was held at their home on the balcony; afterwards, they met with 60 friends at Pizzeria Mozza in Los Angeles. Franco said, “We were handing out weed pens, which just led to everyone bringing home multiple to-go pizzas.”
While the celebrity couple’s wedding was largely unorthodox, weed has made its way into some more traditional proceedings. Companies like Las Vegas Cannabis Weddings and Livviesmalls Events, in addition to other venues around the country, offer opportunities for newlyweds and their guests to enjoy expansive weed spreads while celebrating love.
How to have your own weed wedding
If Franco and Brie’s story inspires you to try your hand at a high wedding, there are a few things to consider. First, of course, is considering the plant’s legality in the state and within the venue in which your wedding will take place.
Of course, weed is still a polarizing topic, and everyone may not vibe with it. Be prepared to offer ample alternative activities for the ones who don’t use the plant—some people may even skip out on the day if they feel strongly enough about it.

At the end of the day, weddings are supposed to be about love, not tradition. If you and your partner love weed or pizza, be like Franco and Brie. Center the day around what you enjoy doing and let the love from friends and family carry you through the big day.
