Storz and Bickel has been ubiquitous in cannabis culture ever since the debut of the German brand’s flagship Volcano vaporizer 25 years ago. The company has since introduced a number of handheld vapes to great fanfare. The latest innovation is dubbed the Veazy and is considered to be the brand’s most accessible and compact device yet.

Dry herb vaporizers like the Veazy offer a healthier alternative to smoking weed. It’s an intriguing concept, with more consumers giving the devices a try. If you’re curious about the new Veazy dry herb vaporizer, this review has all you need to know.

How it works

The Veazy is similar to other handheld devices from Storz and Bickel. The top twists off, revealing a chamber for your flower. Gently pack your freshly ground herbs inside, but be careful not to overfill it, as this may restrict airflow. Replace the top, locking it into place.

The device comes with extra screens, a cleaning brush, and dosing capsules. The dosing capsules allow you to pre-ground your herb and pack it inside. You then place the capsule in the device. This option is great for consumers on the go or people seeking consistent, metered dosing.

Make sure your device is fully charged before using. The USB-C feature gets you powered up to 80 percent in 40 minutes or less.

Turn on the unit by pressing the button on the side. An orange light indicates the unit is on and heating up. Once it turns green and the device vibrates, it’s ready to go.

Move the mouthpiece straw at the top over and inhale to begin airflow. You don’t need to hit too hard; low and slow is the name of the game. The session lasts a considerable amount of time, so end it whenever you wish by hitting the power button.

The Veazy comes pre-set to 180 degrees Celsius. If you want to change the temperature, pair the device to the Storz and Bickel app using built-in Bluetooth connectivity. The app is available on the desktop website or on Android phones. It’s not available on the Apple App Store due to restrictions on cannabis, but you can use certain mobile browsers (the brand recommends Bluefy or Web BLE).

Once your session is done and the device is completely cool, remove the spent material. You may wish to save it for baking or throw it in the trash. Be sure to disassemble this component and soak it in isopropyl alcohol regularly to reduce residue. All parts should be dry before reassembling.

Storz and Bickel Veazy review: first impressions

The Veazy is definitely the cutest Storz and Bickel device yet. The brand’s other handheld devices only come in black, while the Veazy is available in four colors: Charming Pink, Inspiring Orange, Dynamic Blue, and Alluring Black.

Design-wise, the Veazy is essentially a scaled-down version of the Storz and Bickel Venty. It’s far more lightweight and compact but still uses a dual conduction and convection oven for even and efficient heating. However, it lacks the digital temperature display of the Venty. It also does not have the adjustable airflow valve, a great feature of the Venty.

Despite this, the Veazy is still an impressive offering. The draw was smooth and provided robust clouds at the pre-set 180 degrees Celsius temperature. For someone looking to try out a dry herb vaporizer, it’s a solid pick.

The Veazy does have its drawbacks. Having to go to the web app to change the temperature is a bit cumbersome, especially for iPhone users. The device also seems to take longer to reach temperature than its predecessors, but that’s to be expected. Overall, neither of these issues is a dealbreaker.

At $249, the Veazy remains somewhat pricey compared to its competitors. While it is the least expensive of the Storz and Bickel product line, the cost may be prohibitive. However, the brand is known for its commitment to quality; devices often last for years. This makes the Veazy a solid investment.

Veazy vaporizer: a fun and worthwhile investment

The Veazy is definitely an adorable entry point to the Storz and Bickel brand. While it may still be an investment compared to other options on the market, it’s one that’s well worth it.
