Celebrating 4/20 looks different for everyone. Some prefer an intimate gathering of friends, while others seek live music and entertainment to enjoy the cannabis-centric holiday. Here’s a round-up of several 420 events happening across the country.

Willie Nelson & Family at the Mesa Amphitheatre

4/19 7 P.M.
See the stoner icon himself in concert this 4/20 eve in Mesa, a suburb of Phoenix. Nelson is also the purveyor of cannabis brand Willie’s Reserve and Willie’s Remedy, products from each brand are available at select Arizona dispensaries. General admission tickets start at $40.


Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain

4/20 – 4/23
Jam bands like The String Cheese Incident and Lettuce will gather at Mulberry Mountain to perform at this 4/20 festival with comedy and a late-night taco party with The String Cheese Incident. 4-day tickets start at $229.


Stash & Bash Party

4/20 9 A.M. to 10 P.M.
After a week of promotions, Highway Cannabis Co is hosting an all-day party featuring VIP guest Tyga, food, activations, and art exhibits. Tickets to the main event are free. Spend over $125 for VIP status and meet Tyga.

Hippie Hill at Golden Gate Park

10 A.M. – 5 P.M.
Chill under the Janis Joplin tree and soak up the historic stoner site at this year’s Hippie Hill 4/20 celebration. This free event features music from legends like Erykah Badu, among others.

Koala Puffs 420 Celebration at Four Twenty Bank

4/20 3-6 P.M.
Roll up to celebrate with cannabis influencer Koala Puffs this year in Palm Springs. Get lifted at the dab station before playing pool, trying your hand at the claw machine, commemorating the occasion in a photo booth, and more. A select number of free tickets are available.

Green Street 420 Experience

6 P.M. – 10 P.M.
The cannabis community will come together at Green Street for an event featuring games, comedy, and entertainment to cap off the evening. Tickets are free, and rideshare is encouraged.

Underground 420 Fest

4/20 – 4/21 5 P.M. – 12 A.M.
Celebrate 4/20 and the birthday of Compton AV at this event featuring music, food, games, and exclusive vendors. Keep an eye out for special guest appearances, too– tickets start at $15.

Skull & Roses at Ventura County Fairgrounds

4/19 – 4/23
Special guests will reimagine The Grateful Dead in unique interpretations throughout a five-day festival featuring food, camping, and the convivial vibe of Deadheads. Full festival tickets start at $999.95.

Comedy Jam with Ngaio Bealum at Coyote Valley Casino

7:30 P.M. – 9 P.M.
Take a seat and giggle at this 4/20-friendly comedy show featuring headliner Ngaio Bealum. General admission tickets are $20– $25 at the door.


Mile High 420 Festival at Civic Center Park

Denver, CO
Thousands filter into the Civic Center Park yearly for this cannabis celebration and music festival. This year check out artists like Rick Ross and Waka Flocka Flame. Free tickets are still available.

The Marley Brothers at Red Rocks Amphitheatre

4/19 7 P.M.
Sons of legendary cannabis activist Bob Marley will ring in the holiday with a 4/20 eve concert at Red Rocks music venue. Enjoy the tunes of Ziggy, Stephen, Damian, Julian, and Ky-Mani Marley, and soak in the high desert scenery. General admission tickets start at $115.

420 West Show at Rio Rancho Events Center

5:15 P.M. – 12 A.M.
Ice Cube, the original members of Bone Thugs, Warren G, and some of the best old-school rappers will join together in New Mexico for this special concert. Tickets start at $175.

New Jersey

Smoke Alot Celebration

4/20 11 A.M. – 11 P.M.
For the third year, Bando Farms is hosting a celebration of all things cannabis with private tables for food, drink, and the whole cannabis experience. Tickets are $20 at the door, and guests must be 21+.

New York

Choose Happy Symposium
The Forum, at Columbia University

4/18 9 A.M. – 1 P.M.
Consumers can learn about the developing cannabis space in New York at this educational event hosted by Manhattan Community Board 9 and Happy Munkey. Those who attend can access resources like translation services, tenant lawyers, and medical card registration; tickets are free.

New York Cannabis Freedom Festival

Trap v. Everybody at Oasis

High Vibes Dance Party

This is a weekly party, but it’s on the 4/20 theme this Thursday. Resident DJ Dirty Finger will be spinning a vibe for an infused audience. Get in free if you arrive before midnight. Tickets are $12 after that.

Afterpark Afterparty at Sound of Brazil

Once festivities wind down in Washington Square Park, event hosts encourage New Yorkers to hit this afterparty featuring special guest Jadakiss. Attendees can sample fresh harvests from New York Cannabis Cup winners. General admission tickets start at $109.

Shakedown on Main Street at Blue Point Brewpub

3 P.M. – 9 P.M.
The Expendables are headlining this day of music and celebration sponsored by Blue Point Brewery. The block party will serve locally-brewed beer, grilled cheese, art, and vendors. Tickets start at $55.20.

The David Peel 420 Tribute at Parkside Lounge

Tons of bands will perform in this tribute to New York City counterculture icon David Peel. The family of David Peel produced this event.


Smokey River 420 Fest

4/20 3 – 11 P.M.
Cannabis connoisseurs can enjoy this riverfront event featuring music from celebrities like Wiz Khalifa in a celebration of art and cannabis consumption. Enjoy local food trucks and shop vendor booths at this free event.

The Loop 420 Fest

Live music and live cannabis infusions will go on all day at this Missouri cannabis party– cannabis consumption and sales are prohibited.


420 Blazin’ Blues & BBQ: Concert & High Minded Vendor Fair

Asheville Hemp Fest

Enjoy this three-day music festival featuring local musical acts like psychedelic rock band The Snozzberries and cannabis icon, author, and speaker Ed Rosenthal. The event kicks off on 4/20 and continues through the weekend. Tickets are $12.66 per day.

Rhode Island

Doug Benson Comedy Tour

The original stoner comedian is doing a small run in Rhode Island from 4/20 to 4/22. Cannabis enthusiasts can laugh in celebration of the plant with Benson himself. Tickets start at $25.


420 Festival and Camp out at Misty Mountain Camp Resort

The second annual Virginia 420 Festival and Campout features live music, art, and educational classes on growing, cooking with cannabis, and more. Attendees must be 21, and pets are welcome. General admission starts at $50.

Washington D.C.

National Cannabis Festival 4/20 Kickback

4/20 – 4/21 8 P.M. – 12 A.M
Check out live music before the big event at this 21+ party thrown by Open Gem USA, Footwerk & Friends, and DLVRx. Proceeds will support Street Sense Media, a non-profit dedicated to helping and empowering the unhoused community.

National Cannabis Festival at RFK Festival Grounds
