San Francisco’s Marina District is a neighborhood known for housing young professionals, its beautiful San Francisco Bay shoreline, and landmarks like the Palace of Fine Arts. Now, it’s the home of an upscale medical cannabis dispensary.
The newly opened Apothecarium, with its orchid arrangements, marble counters, tufted velvet chairs, and crystal chandelier is “no Summer of Love head shop,” writes Style writer Carolyne Zinko in a recent review from the San Francisco Chronicle.
The Apothecarium design team aimed at creating an environment that would “put first-time cannabis patients at ease” said Ryan Hudson, a company co-founder and executive director, in a statement.
While still requiring a medical marijuana card for entry, the Apothecarium on Lombard is the first dispensary north of Post Street and south of the city of Fairfax, which means it might be the closest cannabis access point for Marin County patients.
The dispensary will offer hundreds of cannabis products, including Bay Area flowers and concentrates, chocolate truffle edibles, and luxury cannabis coffees and teas.
The SF Chronicle got an exclusive first look inside the dispensary. For a sneak peek at the interiors, click through the photo gallery above.
