Stoner star admits he smokes pot with fans

Seth Rogen is one of Hollywood’s biggest cannabis connoisseurs—from his ceramic ashtray business that blossomed over quarantine to smoking on live television, the actor has always made his support for the plant loud and clear. Turns out this love for weed isn’t reserved for the big lights. On the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Rogen told host Josh Horowitz and fellow guest Ben Stiller that he sometimes smokes with fans.

During the podcast appearance, Rogen said that “people just want to smoke weed with [him].” He usually doesn’t, he said, but he makes exceptions for special cases.
“If it seems like it’ll really be special for the person, sometimes I will. I’ve had moments where I’m like, ‘This is a big moment for this person. Least I could do is take a couple hits with them.’”
In March, Rogen told The Guardian that he smokes daily, a routine that’s “a very therapeutic part of [his] day-to-day journey” that he doesn’t even think about anymore. He’s spoken in the past about the positive effects it has on his mild Tourette syndrome and ADHD.
“I’m not physically gifted in many ways, but there’s one way in which I am, which is my ability to process weed,” said the actor to The Guardian when asked how he can smoke every day and maintain productivity.
The actor’s cannabis ceramics brand, Houseplant, debuted in 2019 and has been successful since. In February 2024, the company launched a collab with French rolling paper brand OCB—the collection included papers made with bamboo, brown rice, and wood fiber. Recently, Houseplant has begun shipping THC drinks to select states, tapping into the ever-growing cannabis beverage landscape.
