Big Bay Area weed celebration returns for a second year

The second annual SF Hash Week is coming to the Bay on July 9th, and it’ll be jam-packed with action from top to bottom.
“California’s legendary terroir, talent, and innovation come together for one sticky, unforgettable week,” David Downs, the producer of SF Hash Week, told GreenState.

The event is hosted by SF Space Walk, an event that enlists a collective of growers to debut new cannabis strains at seven lounges around the city over seven nights.
Just like Restaurant Week, Hash Week is a citywide celebration of the Bay’s deep roots in hash and other concentrates. Each night will feature a new hashmaker and will be accented with food, music, education, and other entertainment. Many big names in the California extract space—Raw Garden, Kiva’s Lost Farm, Hash and Flowers, etc.—as well as well-known device-makers, will launch new products, and attendees will get to experience it all as if they were at an album release party.
According to a press release from Downs, eventgoers can expect Super Boof, an “ultra-limited, 6-star full-melt drop” that “requires its own special freezers” from Moon Valley, a strain that both won Leafly’s Strain of the Year in 2024 and swept the Transbay Challenge Finals. Other companies like Solful and Fire King will debut new varieties at Hash Week, giving cannabis lovers a chance to try high-quality strains right from the source.
Solful’s event leads the charge with over 133 RSVPs to their dispensary party on Sunday, July 13th, where they will release a Maddfruit strain “washed by Harry Rose and grown by Alpengrown with genetics from Purple City Genetics.”

Tickets are available on sfspacewalk.com. If you are interested in being a sponsor for the event, information can also be found on the website.
“San Francisco, the Bay Area, and California remain by far the best place to not only grow weed, but make and consume flowers and extracts…Oregon is too cold. Colorado is too dry, and the East Coast is too humid. The best remains here,” said Downs in the press release. That’s some high-level flattery for California’s cannabis connoisseurs.
