Puffcon 2026 brought the heat – and the hash

Like a hot dab to the head, Puffcon 2026 was a game changer. One of the most anticipated cannabis events in California came back bigger, better—and hotter than ever.

With over 80 vendors on scene, two days of music, and activations from some of the top brands in the business, this year was hard to beat. Follow along for a highlight of my whirlwind time at the most hashical place on earth.

Taking Hash Culture to New Heights

As one of the most recognized brands in the industry, 710 Labs doesn’t have to show up at events to market themselves. So when you see the dedication of what they built, it feels like they do it for the fans, for the culture, and for their own amusement.

Parked with their van on the backside of Premier Place, the team at 710 built what they considered an extension of the backyard party, including a resting hammock and branded neon photo backdrops, while fans snaked in line to get into the van in groups. Staff kept Puffcos filled with fresh dabs while you waited, and passed out their new 1.5-gram pasta-tipped joints, an upgrade from the previous 1-gram.

The whole experience was set up to unveil the new, and top secret Close Friends packaging update. I won’t spoil the experience for you, but let’s just say you might need to break out the blacklight.

Another interesting site to behold was the rock wall setup on the main drag. Mountain Man Melts, the brand behind the climb, took their marketing to new heights, quite literally.

With a dab station behind the wall and a sales booth off the side, they were set up for climbers and smokers alike. Happy Hash Cat, a San Jose vendor specializing in limited and exclusive drops, was serving dumplings as part of their dab bar experience as things cooled off, drawing lines of customers looking to get terpy and tasty.

Bear Mountain Studios came in with a full-blown challenge setup, or what they called the Bear Mountain Gauntlet, which consisted of hitting a rig using each of Puffco’s devices. The final challenge amounted to an 11-foot bong that you needed to climb a rolling set of stairs to rip, but the fun didn’t stop there, as the enormous rig was set up to rip eight total Puffco devices: four Puffco Peaks and four Puffco Pivots, all at the same time.

Follow the Terps

To the moon! That’s what the thought behind the West Coast Cure shuttle that was taking off from Puffcon this year. Once you make it inside the ship, however, that’s where some of the real treasures could be found.

Collaborations included Wulf Mods Hardcore OG Astronaut Puffco Pivot topper, and Nothing Personal’s Ashtray Ashley with custom WCC insignia. While no dabs were available on the mission, after you land or exit the shuttle, I was instructed to head back to the Traditional booth to receive my complimentary top-up.

With a giant skeleton signaling the path to better terps, Sugar Magnolia Farms, a long-time Puffcon vendor, was back and brought back a ton of flavors. One strain making its return hasn’t been available since Puffcon 2023: Strawberry Yogurt, this time back as a cross with Pancakes, with a nose that can only be described as exotic fruit decomposing. They also brought out classics like GMO and Platinum Kush, with bucket sales coinciding with each day of the convention.

Some brands are recognizable by logo alone. Apple, McDonald’s, Nike, Feels Good LA. The iconic drippy smile is the signature of this LA-based hash collective that works with some of your favorite extract artists and brands.

Inside a customized smile dome, the team behind the smile kept things upbeat and lively while serving a steady stream of eager hash heads looking to pick up something special, like the TheWaterBoyz710 collab hoodie or fresh press.

The guys at Moon Valley Cannabis moved around with almost magician-like flair as they unveiled a tray of ice water hash and live rosin sitting in dry ice to keep it cold and add a smoky effect in the heat. If the fancy show didn’t make your choice easy enough, they had all flavors on display and available to try in your Puffco device, including Bloodberry Z, Grape Gas Gummiez, and more. To make things more interesting, they had specials on multi-gram purchases, making them one of the most cost-effective options I found.

Finding yourself trying to figure out if it’s Jolly Roger or just a Lego Minifig, you might be at Elbo’s booth. Famed glassblower turned global lifestyle brand, Matt Selbovitz, aka Elbo, has been developing a unique style for decades. Known for his dino rigs and other functional glass art, his booth was filled with curiosities from two-gram hash buckets to Lego Puffco pieces, and even Elbo Gameboy games. Definitely something for everyone, including your hard-to-buy-for heady glass friend.

Come for the Hash, Stay for the Wontons

Long lines in the food area signify something must be good, and when I saw what people were walking away with from Zindrew Wonton Shop, I knew I was in the right place. You can choose Chicken, Pork, Shrimp & Pork, or Vegetarian wontons, with three heat levels: Classic, OG, and X for the spiciest. Topped with sesame seeds, green onions, and fried onions, these little mouthfuls of joy felt like a gift from above, and the spicy heat helped cool you off on an already hot day.

Saulitos Barbecue was so busy that by the time I saw the booth, they had already sold out. It showed you can never bring too much BBQ to a cannabis event. Pirate Pita was on site as well, whipping out Beef and Chicken Shawarma along with options like Hot Honey Feta Fries.

Another place that stole my attention was Moom Maam Artisanal Thai Gelato. Maybe it was the heat talking, but the Mango Sticky Rice Spritz called out to me with flavors of the East. Rounding out the mix was the cannabis event staple of the area, and for good reason: Lei’d Cookies are legitimately some of the tastiest treats available, and that’s when you’re not high!

Puffee’s, Pinball, and Prizes

Nestled above the VIP entrance was the lounge most smokers have only heard about. Yes, I am talking about Puffees, the Buc-ee’s parody that has long been the elusive lounge reserved for creators and influencers. Those lucky enough to join could grab a Puffee’s trucker hat, plus a few other freebies and snacks, and snag a cool place to relax away from the crowds and the heat.

Exiting out the opposite side of Puffee’s led to Kenny’s Penny Arcade, an actual functioning arcade with multiple games, pinball, and some true exclusives only available at Puffcon. The Terp Walker was a stop-the-dot-on-the-dot type of game, where each level the speed increased, but so did your prize.

Another custom game was the Ripping Rollers, where you tossed empty rosin buckets and tried to make it through goals of varied sizes and point values. Once you tried your luck, you could redeem your tokens or tickets for prizes including pins, stickers, T-shirts, and even a custom Ryan Fitt glass piece for day one.

Hash Meets Hip-Hop

A handful of artists returned to the stage this year, including Curren$y, The Alkhemist, 2 Dead Boyz, Kirk Summers, and Kittamami. New to the Puffcon experience was Metro Boomin, who headlined night one. Taking the stage like a storm, with beats dropping, making the somewhat sedated crowd turn up and start to move.

Once he got the crowd going, it was time to give back, and who better to bring out than JCures, or Jerret Wasserman, throwing out some freebies to concertgoers who battled the heat to be there. One of the biggest crowds I’ve seen at Puffcon, and they were eating up everything Metro put down.

Taking the Puffcon stage for the fourth time, Action Bronson, backed up by the Human Growth Hormone, headlined day two. Missing from the stage last year but present as a food vendor, Bronson has been a mainstay at Puffcon, and it was great seeing him back commanding the stage with a presence only Mr. Baklava can bring. From jazzier pieces like Lebron Hennesey to classics like Actin Crazy, Bam Bam always brings the heat even when it’s already hot.

One More Dab Before We Go

Another year and it’s easy to see why Puffcon has been and remains the number one cannabis festival anywhere. From the exclusive vendors brought together in one space to the unique product drops and the special curated experiences put together by the Puffco team. You can feel they really want this event to be for the fans, for the Puffco family, and they always push the envelope with reinvention and expansion with every iteration. Puffcon is what it sets out to be: the leader in the category in so many ways. See you next year!
