The biggest cannabis industry event of the year is almost here. MJBizCon will see thousands of pot pros from across the country and around the world descend upon Las Vegas December 2nd through the 5th for a week of panels, parties, and activations. At such a pivotal moment for the community, this year’s Cannabis Week is sure to be one for the ages.

Heading to Sin City? Here’s what’s fresh, can’t-miss, and worth your time at MJBizCon 2025.
New Ideas, Big Conversations
Programming is the heart of MJBizCon, giving attendees countless chances to learn and connect. This year’s content is sharper than ever, with panels on AI in cannabis, the uncertain future of hemp, and the ongoing saga of federal reform.
New this year: moderator-led roundtables on Friday, December 5. These interactive sessions will unite attendees and thought leaders for candid, solution-driven discussions on cannabis hospitality, lab shopping, cultivating brand loyalty, and more.

Where the Industry Meets (and Mixes)
Networking is a cornerstone of Cannabis Week, with endless ways to meet, mingle, and strengthen relationships.
The MJBizCon expo floor features two connection zones: The Hub in Central Hall and the Grow Hub in North Hall, both serving as ground zero for state takeovers and focused mixers. Highlights include a Bar Mitzvah-themed celebration from Jews in Weed, a Meet the Press media mixer (featuring GreenState editor Rachelle Gordon), and a graduation ceremony for the newest Ganjier class.

Other networking events include gatherings hosted by Asian Cannabis Roundtable, Latinas in Cannabis, Queer in Cannabis/Tokeativity, Cannabis Noire, Women Empowered in Cannabis, Blunt Brunch (with EmpowerHer), and many more. Expect meet-ups for investors, hemp operators, homegrowers, and regional markets across the map.

Celebrating Cannabis Excellence
Working in cannabis isn’t easy, especially amid federal uncertainty, but MJBizCon 2025 doubles down on celebrating the innovators moving the industry forward.
The inaugural MJBowl Awards, the first bi-coastal cannabis competition, will spotlight products from California and New York, with Budist judges announcing winners Thursday at The Hub.
That evening, the storied Emjays Awards and Orchid Suite after-party at the Industrial Event Space brings red-carpet flair to Cannabis Week. Think Oscars-style glamour, live entertainment, and plenty of sparkle.

Tuesday features another new tradition: the Grass Ceiling Honors, presented at Blunt Brunch Nationals at IPEC. Created in partnership with GreenState, Cann Studio, Proven Media, and My Bud Vase, the awards recognize five leaders breaking boundaries in cannabis.
Rounding out the celebratory vibes is the Best of MJBiz Awards in the Hub on Friday. This conference-specific contest awards exhibitors for best booth design, best booth activation, innovative product showcase, women in cannabis, and more.
Finally, Cannabis at Cannabis Week
For years, MJBizCon’s biggest irony was the lack of actual cannabis at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Regulations kept the plant outside, but that’s changing fast. After adding a designated sesh area and The Vault activation in recent years, organizers are taking it up a notch with a new partnership with NuWu Cannabis Marketplace.
Attendees can expect multiple events at the nearby dispensary and consumption lounge, including Media Day (presented by Beard Bros) on Tuesday and a Cannabis Week Kickoff Party that night featuring the Joint Wars rolling competition. Throughout the week, Flower Hour mixers will flow into late-night festivities.
The coolest perk: expo-goers can pre-order products directly from the trade-show floor. A massive activation (booth C25114) simulates a mini-dispensary where orders are fulfilled at NuWu within minutes, with a courtesy shuttle connecting both locations.

The After-Hours Agenda
Of course, no MJBizCon trip is complete without a party—or ten. Our annual spreadsheet of bagel bashes, happy hours, and epic seshes lists dozens of events across Vegas.

Aside from the official afters at NuWu, standout gatherings include Blunt Brunch Nationals, Tech Jam, Light Up Las Vegas, Smoke & Magic, Heat Quest, The Grasslands Party, Surfside Ladies Happy Hour, Cheri Confidential, and the buzzy CannaJo!nt Lounge. As always, the Chandelier Bar at the Cosmo remains the late-night who’s who. Arrive early if you want to secure a spot (or mingle in the elevator bay to get into one of the many unofficial suite seshes).
Cannabis Week is a marathon, not a sprint. Be intentional, pace yourself, and, above all else, stay hydrated.
