This vape could change the weed game forever

Vapes have become a predominant form factor in the cannabis market. Consumers seeking a convenient and discreet way to quickly catch a buzz continue to drive increasing demand. But there’s a problem: with so many different types of extracts out there, brands may struggle to find hardware to meet every need. Enter Singular, a new platform from Active that could change the game forever.

Singular is a modular vape system that can be used with any oil, including distillate, live resin, and rosin. Brands start with a battery form factor, then choose what pods to use, with ceramic, postless, or stainless steel chamber heating elements.

Michael Brosgart, president of Active, said the new system is a win for both weed fans and operators, thanks to its sleek and easy-to-use design.

“It combines the ease of an all-in-one device that consumers love with the flexibility of interchangeable pods and 510 compatibility, giving brands one platform that can adapt to every formulation and market,” Brosgart told GreenState.

Historically, if a brand wanted to bring a pod-based vape to market, they would have to create a closed, proprietary system. Singular is more accessible, allowing operators to jump into the game via an open-source platform. Brands can add numerous customizations, from logos and distinct colorways to high-tech add-ons like digital displays or NFC tags.

The hardware comes standard with variable voltage control and a pre-heat function that prevents clogging. Brands can choose from multiple sizes, from half a gram all the way up to five grams.

The reusable battery system represents a significant advancement in sustainability. It reduces electronic waste since consumers keep and reuse the removable, rechargeable power source.

This also means consumers can buy pods from multiple brands and use the same battery system. The result is a streamlined, yet unique, universal vape market.

Active debuted the cutting-edge technology in an incredibly cinematic piece of storytelling meant to entice the community. For Brosgart and the team, it was another example of how the hardware is pushing the bar.

“It’s the next evolution in vape hardware; we designed Singular to redefine what’s possible in cannabis,” Brosgart concluded.
