Weed got you too lit? Try this

man hits vape pen toohi review

People like to get high. I think that’s pretty obvious, with cannabis making its way into so many different products and branding. And some people like to get really high, you can put me in that category, while others, sometimes, too much really is too much. We all know someone like that, your friend, your partner, whoever it is, when they get too high, it can be alarming for them, and they just want to come down. Whenever this would happen with a friend or someone I was smoking with, well, the only option was generally to park them in front of something to watch and get them some snacks and soda and hope for the best.

Enter: TooHi, a new patent-pending formula that is intended to reduce the effects of THC and get you back to normal function. When I first saw this product, while I could totally understand the many use case scenarios from cannabis events to house parties, where having these on hand would be of benefit, I was still very skeptical. So before deciding to give the product a real-life case study, I had a few questions I wanted to get answered.

Meet the Mind Behind the Buzzkill

To get to the bottom of some of the lingering questions I had about TooHi, I took the opportunity to meet with the founder and developer of the product, Cody Michaels. After leaving the aerospace industry and having grown up in California, he was very aware of the emerging cannabis market and sought to remedy a problem that had always existed. What do you do when you have smoked too much, or want to stop the buzz and start getting sober? This was the problem, but the answer wasn’t an easy solution.

It was a bit of trial and error, Cody explained, from trying different formulas and ingestion methods until landing on the soft gel caps. These provide easy access and just need to be taken with water. My next question was about how TooHi works. And the simple answer is Olivetol. It’s a compound that has a similar structure to THC and will bind to the same receptors, thereby blocking THC from binding, and ostensibly, inhibiting the effects.

Olivetol, the main active ingredient in TooHi, is not psychoactive and is not derived from the cannabis plant. Instead of activating the CB1 receptors in the brain, it interferes with THC’s ability to bind, thereby helping to reduce or neutralize the intensity of the high.

“THC is a lot more potent than it was ten years ago.” Cody explained, “They used to lock you up for like, a tiny little nugget. Now they are putting all these diamonds, live resins, and pretty strong stuff at the end of the day.”

This was the problem that Cody saw as something they’re product could address; users who had taken a dose higher than expected or users wanting to limit or contain their buzz to something more manageable. When asked whether this product would be sold in either quick-stop-like locations or dispensaries, the answer was all of the above. Primarily looking to be sold where cannabis products are available, and that is expanding every day.

Another question I had was about when the best time to use their product is, before using cannabis or after use, and when it is most effective. That is when I think we really got to the core principle of TooHi. Its usage really depends on you and how you want to recover from the haze often associated with cannabis usage. So whether that’s before you smoke to limit your exposure, or after a three-hour-long sesh, and you’re wanting to get into something else that needs your wits. This allows you to be more flexible with your buzz in a way that hasn’t been possible before.

Testing.. One.. Two..

The tests were performed on two subjects. One subject is a heavy user, and the other is a light user. Both subjects proceeded to use cannabis in the form of live rosin concentrates, the heavy user doing multiple dabs while the light user only doing one. After about an hour after using cannabis, both subjects then took the TooHi capsules with the recommended water, and waited half an hour. At this point, both test subjects wrote down their findings and discussed them. These tests were performed twice on two separate evenings.

In both cases, the actual intensity of the high, both mentally and physically, seemed to be unaffected at the half-hour mark from taking the capsules. At the one-hour mark, both subjects’ mental high was lessening, but they continued to have a body high. At the two-hour mark, both users were noticeably less high and nearly recovered, while not being as tired or lethargic as they usually are when returning to normalcy.

Toohi Final Verdict

TooHi is tackling an area that has long sought a solution. What do you do when you have smoked too much? With TooHi, this is no longer a question; get back to full functionality without the fog!

If you got high earlier and then had plans later, I can see TooHi being a great add-in to your night to bring yourself back and lift yourself up. Will it be something that, as a heavy user myself, I need to take? Possibly not, but I can say it will be something I always keep on hand going forward for any users that may need that helping hand when returning to normal. However, if someone is looking for instant relief, a bag of chips and a nap still might be an option as well.
