‘Super Troopers’ team debut unanticipated weed collab

Super Troopers weed collab

Super Troopers became a quintessential stoner film the minute it premiered. The Broken Lizard comedy group continued from that success, writing and starring in slapstick classics like Beerfest and more recent firefighter-focused series Tacoma FD. Now, the Broken Lizard crew is stepping off the screen into a sticky icky, terpene-infused maple syrup.

Real ones will remember that the original Super Troopers crew tricked their probationary officer into chugging a bottle of maple syrup. Well, this product collaboration with Whistlepig Whiskey calls back to that classic prank but adds barrels of flavor. The Maple Old Fashioned Bundle includes a bottle of Whistlepig PiggyBack 100 percent rye whiskey and Troopers Edition Sticky Icky barrel-aged maple syrup, complete with natural cannabis terpenes.

The guys sent a bundle over to try out, and GreenState uncovered some fun ways to make the best of these inventive products–like adding THC.

Inventive Super Troopers weed collab available now

Sticky Icky maple syrup has a depth of flavor rarely seen in cheap, off-brand syrup. The limited edition product is inspired by cannabis but does not get a person high. It is aged in Whistlepig whiskey barrels, which only adds to the intricacy of the finished product. While it could be divine on the traditional waffle or pancake–this Sticky Icky is meant for a complex cocktail.

The maple syrup tastes much like dank whiskey–things stack up as advertised in this department. Whiskey flavor is the primary flavor, but an air of well-aged weed sticks around after the initial sweetness wears off. These notes are excellent in a cocktail, whether it requires brown liquor or not.

How to use the Whistlepig x Broken Lizard collab

The Whistlepig Troopers teams recommend starting with a Maple Old Fashioned to highlight the whiskey and Sticky Icky syrup flavors. This is an immaculate flavor set, but this syrup can make even higher flavor combinations.

GreenState fashioned one more fruity option and a caffeinated hot beverage for a little more shine than rise. Check out these ways to enjoy this limited edition product, including adulterating it with psychoactive cannabis.
