Few cannabis products were more in need of a design refresh than the humble pre-roll (short for pre-rolled joint). Along comes Lowell Herb Co to raise the bar for product design with its seven-packs of pre-rolls. Each sativa, indica and hybrid pack contains 3.5 grams of flowers rolled into a lovingly made joint. The all organic, fair trade pre-rolls are arranged in a slide-out tray alongside a slot for matches, with a strike strip on the side. The packaging itself feels artisanal in a fresh, modern way; the label tells the story of Mr. Lowell, a Central Coast farmer who defied pot prohibition in 1909 and paid the price — a story line that suits the brand.
