THC shots offer a potent, pocket-sized punch

As months go by and states join the legion of legal weed locales, products continue defying what cannabis is known to do. Drinks are continuing to pick up steam among consumers as more turn to infused seltzers or juices to unwind rather than alcohol or even inhalable products. Canned and bottled drinks have been around for some time, but another beverage modality is joining more brand lines.

Weed drink shots are becoming more common as the space expands. These small liquid shots contain various cannabinoid ratios and come in a multitude of flavors. They can all easily be added to liquid almost anywhere. Plus, each is small enough to fit into a wallet, pocket, purse, or any other traveling container.

These three brands have stood out over time, and since each is made with hemp THC they can be purchased in many states.

Wims! Pocket Tonic

These three-milliliter cannabinoid shots come in three flavors: lemon basil, unflavored, and ginger lime. Wims shots have four milligrams of THC and four mg of CBD in each serving.

The packages are about the size of a ketchup packet but hard with a perforation in the middle for easy distribution. The unflavored option can flavor any drink, while the others guide the flavor of the cannabis cocktail.

There was no issue when snapping this package open. It easily cracked and released the liquid within. Effects kick in in about 15 to 20 minutes. After drinking, expect a balanced, mild high that might inspire cheeky conversations, a sunny disposition, or a cozy hang.

Off Duty

Off Duty is a product made by 1906, a wellness-focused cannabis brand. The drink shots are a limited edition, unflavored cannabis shot meant to go into any libation. The product can go into a coffee or a mocktail, or splash into a flat water–anything works. While it is unflavored, the liquid does add a cloudy, white color to a drink.

Each snap packet, also about the size of a ketchup packet, contains five mg of THC and five mg of CBD. They kick in quickly, with a very mellow, chill effect. These drinks do not hit as hard as a big bong rip, but they do inspire a heavy high and chilled-out mind about 20 minutes after the drink is dusted.

While these are supposed to be easy to open, it can be challenging from packet to packet. When it is hard to open them, carefully use scissors or a knife to poke a hole to release the liquid. Forcing it to pop may result in over-splash and lost product.

Ripple

While the other pocket weed drinks are liquid, Ripple offers individually-sized THC powder packs. The brand has a few fast-acting cannabinoid ratios, including the Pure sativa powder, Balanced (five mg each of THC, CBD, and CBC), Revive (10 mg each of THC, CBD, and CBG), and Sleep (10 mg of THC, five mg of CBN, and five mg of CBD). These products combine cannabinoids to inspire a guided effect.

Stir these powders into a drink until they dissolve, and make any liquid into a cannabis cocktail. Much like its counterparts, the individually sized packets fit perfectly into a wallet or pocket.

DIY edibles now come as pocket-sized THC shots

Each of these products utilizes hemp THC, and sometimes other cannabinoids, to create an accessible form of the plant. While a joint may not attract every canna-curious consumer, drinks may feel like a more familiar entry point. These individual, pocket-sized edibles could serve as a fun addition to a night out, just tuck one away for later.
