TROY, MICHIGAN – Lume Cannabis Co., the marijuana outlet which operates stores in Big Rapids, Evart and other locations throughout the state, on Wednesday announce it would start curbside pickup for customers.

In addition, the Big Rapids and Evart locations would be reduced in capacity to to three customers in the lobby and on the sales floor at all time. Furthermore, customers who place orders for delivery or place orders online for curbside pickup will receive a discount.

“As a company we are taking several specific and proactive steps to minimize exposure while still providing the top-notch level of customer service our patients and customers expect and deserve,” Lume President/COO Doug Hellyar stated in a press release. “We hope offering a 10% discount for delivery and for customers who place online pre-orders for express checkout or curbside pick-up will help our medical patients and recreational consumers continue to access Lume products during this challenging time.”

The Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency is temporarily allowing marijuana shops to offer delivery and curbside pick-up services for both recreational and medical customers due to concerns over coronavirus. Under the temporary accommodations, all customers, regardless of the address on their government-issued ID, are eligible to receive home delivery.

In addition, Lume says, it’s increasing efforts to maintain cleanliness of its stores, including forcing staff members to wear gloves when servicing customers and developing a regular schedule for disinfecting surfaces.
