Ear Bud, Episode 3: The secret to better highs? Eat your broccoli

BIG news: (drumroll please…) GreenState is launching a (pilot) podcast!

From medical marijuana to CBD toothpicks, there’s a lot to talk about when it comes to weed. So, we decided it’s high time GreenState had a podcast.

Tune into Ear Bud to hear our assistant editor Elissa Esher chat with experts in the cannabis world on the medical, recreational, and business sides of cannabis.

This episode is the third and final pilot episode we are launching to gage interest in Ear Bud. So, if you like this episode, please share it! We’re counting on you to keep this going.

On this episode, we’re discussing how food can take your high… higher.

Nothing is more beautiful than a full fridge when you have a case of the munchies. But while it might feel tempting (even right) to inhale every snack in sight each time you’re high, you may actually be depriving yourself of the highest quality high by doing so.

We spoke to Cannabis Clinician Dr. Leigh Vinocur on how what you eat affects your high. Turns out, it pays to eat your greens before you smoke them.

“Food in general can be thought of as a medicine and eating healthy is critical. It maintains a healthy gut microbiome, which can affect your mood anyway. So, combining it with cannabinoids, and certainly edible cannabinoids, can affect absorption. With increased absorption, you can see effects.” – Dr. Leigh Vinocur
